Awesome start to a sereis (I hope!)

I really enjoyed this book! I love anything with a shifter in it, and especially an Alpha male who has to work to get the girl! So many times in shifter romances the female (usually a non-shifter) has no control over their actions and is in this horrible tug of war with their emotions. The back and forth with emotions is normal, but it was great to see a leading lady at least be honest with herself about her attraction to her man!! The characters were good (even the supporting characters). The passion was hot! Whew! Can't wait for the next installment!!! This author is on my watch list now!

I enjoyed this book and didn't put it down. It is very interesting and moved very fast.
Some things that made you go "Hmmm"
1. the two main characters were interested in the other for nearly 4 years because their perceived perspectives kept them apart. So why, bring them together the 4th year? I mean...other than sex, obviously.
2. where was she going to school (outside of Detroit, mind you) that she was the only black person on campus??
3. If her school of choice was because of her mother (who I assumed lives in Detroit also), where was her family?
Overall, the book is good and yes, I would read more from this author. Just felt there could have been more explanation around the three points above.

I hated the title; however, I loved the story!

Okay, I have vented about the importance of the image on the cover of a book. Now I must stress the importance of the title of the book. Not sure how long this book has been published; however, today was the first time that I even clicked on it to see what it was all about. The title did not appeal to me - I thought it was about one of those raunchy, nonsense stories that always show up when I type in "interracial romance" as a search term, but that was so not the case. I really enjoyed this story! I absolutely LOVE shifter IR romances, esp when they are well written. The story was great from beginning to end! I love Alpha males and the hero did not disappoint! I also love tough as nails women and the heroine definitely held her own. I'm normally not a fan when the hero/heroine are so young, esp in their early 20s; however, paranormal/shifter books gets a passed on such things due to the whole mating for life thing. I am definitely looking forward to more IR (BWWM) stories in this series.
